This chapter describes the commands that compare attributes: Compare File Attributes (CMPFILA), Compare Object Attributes (CMPOBJA), Compare IFS Attributes (CMPIFSA), and Compare DLO Attributes (CMPDLOA). These commands are designed to audit the attributes, or characteristics, of the objects within your environment and report on the status of replicated objects. Together, these command are collectively referred to as the compare attributes commands.
You are already using the compare attributes commands when they are called by audits. When called by an audit and used in combination with the automatic recovery capabilities of audits, the compare attributes commands provide robust functionality to help you determine whether your system is in a state to ensure a successful rollover for planned events or failover for unplanned events.
