The Compare File Data (CMPFILDTA) command, or a rule which calls it, can be long running and may exceed the time which you have available for it to run.

The CMPFILDTA command recognizes requests to end the job in a controlled manner (ENDJOB OPTION(*CNTRLD)). Messages indicate the step within CMPFILDTA processing at which the end was requested. The report and output file contain as much information as possible with the data available at the step in progress when the job ended. The output may not be accurate because the full CMPFILDTA request did not complete.

The content of the report and output file is most valuable if the command completed processing through the end of phase 1 compare. The output may be incomplete if the end occurred earlier. If processing did not complete to a point where MIMIX can accurately determine the result of the compare, the value *UN (unknown) is placed in the Difference Indicator.

Note: If the CMPFILDTA command has been long running or has encountered many errors, you may need to specify more time on the ENDJOB command’s Delay time, if *CNTRLD (DELAY) parameter. The default value of 30 seconds may not be adequate in these circumstances.
