When changing which systems are enabled for target journal inspection, it is useful to know which data groups use a particular journal definition.

Do the following:

  1. From the MIMIX Basic Main Menu, type a 11 (Configuration menu) and press Enter.

From the MIMIX Configuration Menu, type a 4 (Work with data group definitions) and press Enter.

  2. The Work with Data Group Definitions display appears. Press F18 (Subset).

  3. The Subset DG Definitions appears. Do the following:

    • To display a list of all data groups that use the system journal, specify *ALL and *OBJ for the Data group type prompt and press Enter.

    • To display a list of data groups that use a specific user journal, specify *ALL and *DB for the Data group type prompt and specify the name of journal definition at the Journal definition prompt and press Enter.

  4. The resulting list includes the data groups that use the journal definition on either its source or target system. The value displayed in the Data Source column identifies which system is the current source system.

  5. To identify whether a user journal is currently being used as a source or a target journal, type a 5 (Display) next to the data group you want and press Enter.

  6. Journal definition names for user journals are often the same name as the data group. Therefore, to determine with certainty whether the journal definition is being used as a source or  target journal,  evaluate whether the value specified for Data Source resolves to System 1 or System 2 of the data group. Then check the name specified in the appropriate System journal definition prompt (JRNDFN1 or JRNDFN2).
