These instructions use the Change Step (CHGSTEP) command to change runtime attributes for a step. Attributes of a required step cannot be changed. The procedure cannot be active when using the CHGSTEP command.

Some step attributes of a step in an active procedure can be overridden to change their configured value for the current run of the procedure, by using the Override Step (OVRSTEP) command. For details and instructions to change the attributes of an active step, see “Overriding the attributes of a step” in the Assure MIMIX Operations book.

Do the following from the management system:

  1. Display the existing steps of the procedure. See Displaying the steps within a procedure.

  2. The Work with Steps display appears. Type 2 (Change) next to the step you want and press Enter.

  3. The Change Step (CHGSTEP) command appears. Make the changes you want.

    • To change the relative order in which the step is performed, specify a different value for the To sequence number prompt.

    • Specify the values you want for the Action before step, Action on error, and State prompts. For information, see Attributes of a step.

  4. To change the step, press Enter.
