The Urban Areas layer (urbanareas.tab) contains definitions of boundaries that consist of an area of central places and adjacent urban fringes having a minimum residential population of at least 50,000 people, and generally an overall population density of at least 1,000 people per square mile.
This layer is displayed as light brown filled regions.
