To label features one at a time:
- Click Label on the MapInfo Pro Main toolbar. The cursor is redrawn as a cross-hair.
- Click on the feature of interest.
- By default, MapInfo Pro labels the topmost feature, but you can label other features by holding down the <Ctrl>. key while you click.
- If necessary, use the Select tool on the MapInfo Pro Main toolbar to position your labels.
- Open the Layer Control dialog box.
- Click the Label checkbox next to the layer you wish to label.
- Click OK.
The map window is redrawn, displaying labels for the features in the layer you chose to label.
