This document outlines the cumulative changes for currently supported releases of CrimeIndex (US), beginning with version 2022. It includes new features, changes and enhancements introduced in each release, and known issues and planned future updates (if applicable). Releases are presented in descending order from newest to oldest.
CrimeIndex (US), produced by Precisely's data scientists, is an evolving dataset designed to help users understand and compare the probability of crime by type for small, local areas. This product is available for Census Block Groups in the United States. While CrimeIndex (US) data is directionally accurate, data should be used and interpreted as-is; crime is often random and sporadic, and a low crime index score does not, in any way, guarantee that crime may not occur.
Due to updates in source data, additional source data used, and methodology changes in each version, comparisons between this release of CrimeIndex and previous versions is not recommended. Please contact Precisely client supper for further clarification. Additional information about this product can be found in the CrimeIndex (US) Product Guide.
