The Canada Business Summary database contains the Canada Business Summary table, covering all levels of Canadian geography – Provinces/Territories, Census Divisions, Forward Sortation Areas – down to Dissemination Areas. This dataset contains counts of Canadian businesses by employee size range, sales volume, and two-digit (US) SIC code, for all levels of geography. All data in this table is based on the Precisely's World Points of Interest - Premium database for Canada, which contains unit record-level information about Canadian businesses, as well as other location points/features.
The Canada Retail Summary database contains the Canada Retail Summary table, covering all levels of Canadian geography down to the Dissemination Area level. This dataset contains counts of retail-specific businesses in Canada by employee size range, sales volume, and three-digit NAICS code, for all levels of geography. Data for this table is also tabulated from the World Points of Interest - Premium dataset for Canada, which contains unit record-level information about Canadian businesses, as well as other location points/features.
Canadian Business and Retail Summary Data provides users with contextual data to help research business/retail opportunities, market to targeted industry sectors, and evaluate the impact of competition around sites/areas of interest.
Datasets are available on a standalone basis, in MapInfo Pro or pipe-delimited text formats, and can be integrated into software for use in a more automated reporting and analytical environment.
