As a fallback measure for locating certain point-only centroids, Precisely is incorporating the USPS®Postal Pro™ list of physical addresses for unique ZIP Codes. These are physical addresses of where an associated ZIP Code's post office or postal sorting facility is located. This list is used when there are no available delivery records from which to determine another location. Use of this list will cause the locations of some postal points to shift from previous hard-coded locations that we found not to be current, or to be less reliable. Hard-coded locations were maintained in certain areas where, based on research, confidence in those locations is high.
