The Census table now includes the new county-equivalent planning regions in Connecticut. In 2022, the US Census Bureau replaced the eight original counties in Connecticut with 9 planning areas that are county equivalents. New names and FIPS codes for these planning regions were populated in the COUNTY (name) and COUNTYFIPS fields in the Census table. CBSAs have not yet been reassigned for these planning regions. The CBSA and CBSAFIPS fields in Census table records for the state of Connecticut will remain unpopulated until they are reassigned.
