You can use reference lists to provide values for list fields.

When you are defining the fields of an asset type on the Configuration pages, you can add a reference list as a List type field. Then, when you add an asset of this type, you can select an option from the reference list items.
  1. Open the Configuration page for the asset type to which you want to add the reference list.
  2. Select the asset type and on the Fields tab, click Add.
  3. Select the List field type.
  4. Choose your reference list in the Type of List property, for example "Reference List Item : Criticality".
  5. Set the Sort Order for the reference list. The specified sort order will be used when the list is used throughout the application.
  6. Go to the list page for the asset type, and select an asset to edit or create a new asset.
  7. Select one of the reference item values in the reference list field, for example "Low", "Medium" or "High".
