These steps describe how to configure a Gen 4 Connector. You must have an installation of Data360 Analyze and an understanding of the source system from which you are extracting metadata.

These steps do not apply to Gen 3 Connectors. If you are using a Gen 3 Connector, work with your Precisely representative to setup the required metamodel and Connector configuration in Data360 Govern.
Note: We recommend that you use the latest version of Data360 Analyze. Contact your Precisely representative to request the three library nodes that are required to configure a connector.
  1. Import the Framework, Configuration and Connector library nodes into Data360 Analyze.
  2. Create a data flow to extract information from your external data source for importing into Data360 Govern.
  3. Ensure that the library paths include the locations of the three library nodes that you imported.
This step ensures that the data flow can access the Framework, Configuration and Connector library nodes. For more information, see the Data360 Analyze help.
  4. Drag only the Connector node onto the canvas.
  5. Configure the Connector’s properties.
Hover over the name of a property to see a tooltip with additional information.
For more information on setting up a Data360 Analyze connector, contact your Precisely representative or raise a support ticket to discuss your requirements.
