Technical assets enrich business assets with metadata from external sources.
Although it is possible to create technical assets through the user interface, if you are adding a large number of new technical assets, it is generally recommended that you use Connectors. Connectors are data flows that are built in Data360 Analyze to extract technical metadata from external sources, such as:
- Flat files, for example, XML, CSV.
- Databases, for example, SQL Server, Oracle.
- Applications, for example, SAP.
