  1. Go to Configuration > Relationships.
  2. Click the Add button to create a new relationship type.
The Add Relationship Type dialog appears.
  3. Select a Subject asset type, e.g. Business Asset :: Reports.
  4. Select the Predicate, e.g. Contains (Data Lineage).
  5. Select an Object asset type, e.g. Business Asset :: Business Term.
  6. Specify the Subject Cardinality and the Object Cardinality.
The cardinality is the numeric limitations of one data asset compared to another. For example, one report can contain many business terms, so in this example, you would select One to Many.
  7. Click Add Relationship Type to create the new relationship type and return to the list.
Once you have created relationship types and predicate types, you can define specific relationships between assets, see Defining relationships between assets.

Click the Edit button next to a relationship type to modify it using the Edit Relationship Type panel.

Tip: When configuring asset types, you can add a Relationship type field to display a list of related assets. For more information, see Relationship.
