Both the Monitor and RTM use the DIF rules language. The language has debugging facil- ities to help identify logic problems in the rules. The product also has a module tracing facility that can be helpful when working with technical support. These debugging facili- ties can be activated in several ways.
- the MONTRACE DD statement can activate rules tracing
- the DEBUG parameter can be used to activate both logging messages and/or module tracing on the MONRUN jobs
- a F DIF,ENABLE TRACE MON jobname command can activate module trac- ing for the SCC Monitor/Realtime component
