In every flow, at least one activity must be designated as the starting point. EPX permits multiple starting points.

To specify an activity as a starting point:

  1. If the activity’s editor is not already open, right-click the activity’s icon, and then click Properties in the shortcut menu.

  2. Click the Details tab.

  3. Select the Starting Point check box. The Work Item Name Editable check box becomes selectable.

  4. Select the Work Item Name Editable check box to enable participants who initiate a work item to change the work item’s name in TaskManager.

  5. Type a name in the Default Work Item Name box. If you do not enter a name, new work items are given a default work item name assigned by EPX.

If you enter a default work item name on the Details tab, this name becomes the default name for the work item in this process flow. This is now the name that will appear when the participant starts a new task in TaskManager.
