Creating Work Item Types - EnterWorks_Process_Exchange_(EPX) - 10.6

To create a new work item type:

1. Right-click the Work Item Types folder in the Navigator pane and click New... in the shortcut menu.

1. On the General tab, type the name of the new work item type in the Name box and a description (optional) in the Description box.

Note: Work item type names can contain only alphanumeric characters, and cannot contain spaces.

2. Click the Metadata tab. Add metadata to the work item type following the steps listed in Adding Metadata.

For details on how to manage metadata directly from the Metadata tab, see Using the Metadata Tab. To set security for the work item type, click the Security tab and configure security as needed. For instructions on using the Security tab, see Security Tab.

3. Click OK to save changes and close the Work Item Type editor.
