Use this action to initiate a work item that is defined by a process flow. When creating a new work item, the following options will be available depending on the settings that were used in defining the process flow.
| Option | Function |

| Select a starting activity | Used to select the initial activity in a process flow. This list will be displayed when you have been assigned two or more starting activities. |
| Work Item Name | The name of the work item that is being created. You may not be able to edit this setting, depending on the settings configured in the process flow. |
| Description | A description of the work item that is being created. An optional field. |
| Next | Takes you to the next step in the process of creating a new work item. |
| Back | Takes you back to the previous step in the process of creating a new work item. |
| Cancel | Cancels the process of creating a new work item. Returns you to the last accessed mailbox page. |
| Finish | Completes the process of creating a new work item. |
Note: If you are not assigned as an actor on a starting point activity in any process flow, a message appears indicating that there is no starting point.
