This module serves as the main repository for all the data including geospatial and non-spatial data layers uploaded from local systems and built-in data libraries for all projects and sessions. It includes two sub modules: My Data and Data Library.

Submodule: My Data

This submodule includes all the layers where you can upload spatial and non-spatial data in various formats. You can upload Vector, Raster and Tabular data types.

You can upload specific file formats listed against each data type to a certain size limit. The maximum size limit for all the files to be uploaded is 1 GB.

Data Format Size Limit
Vector Layer KML, KMZ 100 MB
JSON, GEOJSON 60 MB
DXF, CSV 10 MB

ZIP — Shapefiles (.shp, .shx, .dbf, .prj)

MapInfo Tab & NativeX Tab (.tab, .dat, .id, .map)

10 MB
Raster Layer TIFF, MRR 500 MB
Tabular Data XLS, XLSX, CSV 10 MB

The Search Bar is placed under 'My Data' and 'Data Library' tabs where you can search for a specific dataset.

There are four tabs on the left namely - All, Vector, Raster and Tabular. A catalog of layers of different data types is displayed beside the respective tabs. The following icons can be found on the top row above the section that contains layers:

  1. Upload - Enables importing all types of layers as mentioned above from the local drive.
  2. Create Layer - This allows you to Create a Vector layer. You can specify the Layer Name and the Layer Type : Point, Polyline and Polygon. You can also add new attributes by defining Attribute, Label and Data Type as String, Number, Date or Document.
Important: It is only available for the Vector layers.
  3. Group - You can organize layers by creating a group and adding layers of different data types by selecting respective radio button - Vector, Raster or Tabular. You can also rename, edit or delete the group.
  4. Sort - This option allows you to sort the layers based on different criteria such as Last Modified Date or alphabetical sorting using Name (A-Z) or Name (Z-A). You can also sort based on geometry types such as Point, Polyline, or Polygon.

For each layer, there is a vertical ellipsis placed for the list of actions such as:

  • Preview - Explore metadata and the attribute table of the map session layer.
  • Use in a Map Session - Allows you to add the layer to an existing map session. You can also create a new map session while adding your layer.
  • Rename - Modify the name of the layer.
  • Edit Attributes - Modify the name and label of an attribute. Furthermore, you can also hide or show specific attributes if they should not be visible on the map session or while publishing. You can add new attributes as well.
  • Export - Download the layer in formats such as Shapefile (.zip), TAB (.zip), GeoJson, DXF, KML. CSV can be downloaded from Tabular tab on the left navigation pane.
Restriction: Raster images cannot be downloaded through the interface.
  • Delete - This option allows you to delete the layer permanently.

Submodule: Data Library

The Data Library is provided for your convenience with a catalog of datasets categorized into a number of regions, data types and respective geometries.

By clicking on the vertical ellipsis, you can do one of these actions for each individual dataset.

  1. Preview - You can view metadata and examine the attribute table.
  2. Add to My Data - You can add any layer into 'My Data'.
  3. Use in a Map Session - You can add the layers to the existing map session or create a new session. The application redirects to a new session if you click Create New button.
  4. Join My Data - You can join the uploaded data layer with existing tabular and vector data layers. The final output can be added to the existing map session or to a new map session.
