Right-clicking on a window tab opens a context menu with options that let you manage the windows that are open in MapInfo Pro.

Closing windows that show data from a table, such as a Map or Browser window, does not close the table. Tables remain open in MapInfo Pro until you close them on the TABLE tab, in the Content group, by clicking Close.

Floating

Move the current window to a floating state, so that you can move it anywhere you wish to on your screen or monitors.

Dockable

Dock the window to the side of the MapInfo Pro screen, so that it is out-of-the way, but still easy to access. This is useful when you want to increase the amount of space available on the MapInfo Pro screen, but still want access to the window.

Tabbed

Show the window using all the space available in MapInfo Pro. This option overlaps windows and uses tabs to select between windows.

Auto Hide

Automatically hide a docked window when it is not active. Docked windows are located along the sides of the MapInfo Pro screen, where they are out-of-the way, but still easy to access. This option is only available on docked windows.

Close

Closes the window.

Close All But This

Closes all windows except for this one.

Close All

Closes all windows

New Horizontal Tab Group

Arrange windows horizontally, so that you can see them side-by-side. This option is only available on tabbed windows.

New Vertical Tab Group

Arrange windows vertically, so that you can see them side-by-side. This option is only available on tabbed windows.

Hide

Remove the window from view. This does not close the window. After hiding it, you can view the window by selecting it from the Windows list on the Explorer window. This option is only available on tabbed windows.
