There are some reasons why you may not be able to update your dataset on a WFS-T enabled server, and it is good to keep these in mind:
- Server implements Lock Feature. If the server implements the LockFeature operation, another user may have locked a feature you are trying to change. This LockFeature prevents you from overwriting the other user's work. You can wait until the lock is cleared to update the server.
- Server does not conform to standards. Not all WFS servers support transactional capabilities. If the WFS-T server does not conform to the OGS specifications, MapInfo Pro may not be able to transact data with it. This is likely a permanent failure, until the WFS-T server conforms to the OGS standard.
- Server is down. You cannot connect to a server that is not on-line. When this occurs, the best practice is to wait until the server is available again to complete your transaction.
