Using the Find Menu Option for Remote Tables - MapInfo_Pro - 2023

The Find command (located on the TABLE tab, in the Selection group) is available for both live and linked remote tables, regardless of whether they are indexed. Neither the table nor a column in the table needs to be indexed for the Find command option to be available.

If the selected column in the search table does not have an index, then clicking OK in the Find dialog box creates an index . For native tables and linked remote tables, this new index is permanent. For live remote tables and read-only native tables, the index is temporary.
