The Login window for MapInfo Pro Services has been updated to use a new web content (HTML/Javascript) renderer, WebView2 runtime from Microsoft for the login page and login process. Previously MapInfo Pro had relied on a web renderer that was based off of Internet Explorer 11 and this library has seen a significant lack of updates and support. The change moves the process to utilize the WebView2 runtime from Microsoft that uses a shared renderer from the latest version of Microsoft’s Edge Browser which is now based on the open source Chromium project. This is the same rendering engine that is used in Google’s Chrome browsers. This renderer supports the latest updates to Javascript, HTML, CSS and other newer web technologies.
