What is the purpose of Polyline Split at Node?

To cut up map objects into smaller parts using the nodes that form the line.

When is Polyline Split at Node active?

  • When the Map window is active.
  • When a layer in the active Map window is editable.
  • When a polyline segment is reshaped by the Reshape command (on the SPATIAL tab, in the Edit group, from the list).
  • When a node is selected.
Note: Reshape mode remains turned on until you turn if off. To turn off reshape mode, on the SPATIAL tab, in the Edit group, click Reshape.

How do I access Polyline Split at Node?

  1. Select a polyline that is bisected.
  2. On the SPATIAL tab, in the Edit group, click Split, and Polyline Split at Node.
