What is the purpose of Erase Target?
To remove a portion of a map object using the currently selected object as the eraser. The portion of the target object that is overlapped by the erasing object is removed.
When is Erase Target active?
- When an object is set as the target.
- When an object that acts as the eraser is selected.
- When the Map window containing the object is active.
- When a layer editable.
How do I access Erase Target?
On the SPATIAL tab, in the Edit group, click Erase, and click Erase Target from the list.
