If MapInfo Pro cannot translate the label expression when writing MWS, MapInfo Pro replaces the entire label expression with the default. The default label expression is the same table field (column) used by the Label Display tab in the Layer Properties dialog box. No error message is generated in this case.
The resulting label string may not be exactly the same in MapXtreme as it was in MapInfo Pro (particularly for functions that take formatting arguments). Our goal is to translate MapBasic to the equivalent MapInfo SQL, as closely as possible.
