When creating the raster legend for the first time, MapInfo Pro decides how to display it based on the type returned in the legend XML as a Continuous raster legend or a Classified raster legend.
To create a legend for a raster or for a raster overlay:
- On the MAP tab, in the Content group, click Add To Map and then Legend.
- In the Create Legend wizard select the raster layer, or layers, that you want to create a legend for.
- Click Next to control the look of the legend, or click Finish to create the legend using the default settings.
When creating a raster legend, some controls are hidden in the last step of the Create Legend wizard (on the Frame Properties screen). A Filter combo box on the screen lets you select or enter the number of rows from 1 to 1600 to see in the legend. If the total number of rows for a raster legend is 100 and you enter a value of 20, then only 20 colors display in the raster legend frame. The default value is 100.
