If you upgrade your MapInfo Pro to the latest version and get an error while accessing the help, delete the Raster cache folder under the AppData folder and restart the MapInfo application. Follow the instructions below for your respective operating system.

Windows 7/10 For example, C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\mapinfopro17.0.0_en; where "en" is the language code.
Windows 8.1
  • For example, C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\MapInfo\Professional\Raster.
  • For example, C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\MapInfo\Professional\Raster.
  1. Close the MapInfoPro application.
  2. Delete the Raster cache folder under the AppData folder. For example, C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\mapinfopro17.0.0_en; where "en" is the language code.
  3. Restart the MapInfoPro application.
