Note: In versions prior to Yokohama, "Service Instances" were referred to as "Application Services."
The Service Instances are required by the App in order to add CIs to. Service Instances need to be created manually; services created by the ServiceNow built in discovery tool cannot currently be used by this app. Any CIs that have been added manually to the Service will be removed when the Ironstream Service Mapping runs. Service Maps are completely recreated so that only CIs matching the defined patterns are mapped. After the Scheduled Job has run, the service can be linked to from other Service Instances, for example, a traffic-based service. Service links should not be created from the mainframe service created by the Ironstream Service Mapping job as they will be removed the next time the job runs. See the ServiceNow documentation on how to “Link Service Instances”. For instructions on how to create the Services, see the section “Creating Services” for the details.
