Using an installation wizard is the recommended method for installing or upgrading the Assure UI server, products, and product portal applications.
Product and Assure UI Portal Installation Wizard for IBM i - If a product provides a portal application, you can use the product’s installation wizard to install the portal application and the Assure UI server when installing the product on that platform. The default option to install the product also installs the Assure UI server and the product’s portal application. Each product’s wizard may include additional options.
For example, the MIMIX and Assure UI Portal Installation Wizard for IBM i also includes an option to install only the MIMIX portal application. If you select this option, you will be prompted to select nodes on which to install the portal application. The wizard will install the Assure UI server if it is not already installed. If the Assure UI server already exists, this option will upgrade the server if necessary to support the portal application.

Assure UI Portal and Portal Application Installation Wizard for Windows - If a product provides a portal application, this wizard installs its portal application and the Assure UI server on a Windows platform. This wizard does not install or upgrade the product associated with the portal application on any platform.
