Important Note: From release V23_1212 java 11+ is mandatory for:
- Assure QuickEDD Installer,
- The server running the Graphical User Interface Assure QuickEDD GUI (Check the installation manual to determine how to update your Java version),
- For Assure QuickEDD main engine (emails, …),
- For Assure QuickEDD tools.
Important Note: From this release, PMEDHOPEN PGM must be executed after each new installation or upgrade. This command is automatically executed when graphical installer is used. For manual installation or update, please refer to installation or update manuals.
Starting with version 24.2.27, License Manager is now supported by Assure QuickEDD. Precisely will begin to transition from the old style QSL type license key format, to the License Manager based license key format. During this transition, keys for both formats will activate the software.
A new LAKEVIEW profile is now created on Source and Target Systems. LAKEVIEW profile is the owner of objects for License Manager, and it is created with *SAVSYS special authority. Improvements
- END type message is changed from 2-6 to 2-7 when the environment is automatically restarted to manage a new journal.
- Management of physical file journaling changes while replication is active enhanced.
- *SQLXSR objects are now managed by Assure QuickEDD.
- Function to purge old messages history is now called every 30 minutes instead of every 6 hours to remove messages older than "Keep messages" value defined in environment general parameters.
Fixes
- RCV jobs stopping with the error message "ERREUR GRAVE 000A" is now fixed.
- Better management of start/end journaling to avoid environment looping when restarting.
- Start and stop journaling on source are now correctly replicated on target.
- iASP number at group level can now be changed and saved.
- ASP name and number existence are now checked in V7R4 and upper (as in previous OS version) when the values are changed in the general parameters.
- Release number is now correctly displayed when using LAKEVIEW/WRKPRD command.
- PMEDHWRK - The spool file generated by the command is now correct without extra characters.
- PMEDHOPXSP - The spool file generated by the command is now correct without extra characters and with the correct job sysname and datetime.
- PMEDHPARUN - The command now updates the values correctly in the running Environment.
- License Manager is not upgraded anymore if it is already installed with a greater or equal release level.
- Description changes for DTAQ and DTAARA are now correctly replicated.
- IFS children field now displays the good number of children when using option "5" on IFS object.
TOOLS

- PMEDHOPXSP - Resulting spool improved to make reading easier.
Fixes
- EDHOBJREP - The command is now working fine even if ENV parameter is filled in lowercase.
- Error message in the EDH menu do not appear anymore.
- Journal Manager - The EDH0250 message is now also sent to the PMEDH message queue (MSGQ) when a CHGJRN SEQOPT(*RESET) can't be performed.
- EDH_STATJ - The command is now retrieving correct Statistics for the Environment.
- EDHCHKIFS3 - % character in an IFS object name do not produce unreadable report anymore.
- PMEDHINSG - the command now correctly handles path name greater than 17th characters.
- EDH_JRNCLN - Missing error message is now fixed when using the command.
