Option 25 – Interactive Check of the Libraries - EDHCTLLIB - assure_quick_edd

This module allows you to check with an interactive and real-time view the list of the libraries on the production system, and compare the number of objects contained within the library and the number of replicated objects from the library.

It then displays the number of objects with a replication error.

Using the command:

Control replications (EDHCTLLIB) Type choices, press Enter. Libraries . . . . . . . . . *ALL Name, generic*, *ALL, *REP EDD environments . . . . . . . *ALL Name,*ALL Output type . . . . . . . . . *DISPLAY *DISPLAY, *PRINT Control CRTLIB date . . . *LASTCTL Date, *LASTCTL

Libraries

• Name: name of the library to analyze

• Generic: analyzes a group of libraries

• *ALL: analyzes all the libraries of the system in the environment chosen below

• *REP: analyzes only the replicated libraries of the system in the environment chosen below

EDD environments

Name : Chose the XX environment to be analyzed

*ALL : Analyzes all the environments

Output type

*DISPLAY: the analysis results are displayed on the screen

*PRINT : the analysis results are a spool file named EDHCTLPR. When *PRINT output is used it is mandatory to use a “Control date”

Control date / CTRLIB

It shows all the new libraries created on the system since the date of the last processing of EDHCTLLIB (*LASTCTL) or the Date you specify.

If you choose *DISPLAY, you obtain the following screen:

Library analysis allows you to display the following information:

• White (bold here): libraries managed by the replication

• The environment in which the library is managed

• The date of the creation of the library, it displays yellow if it is new

• The number of objects contained within the library

• The number of objects replicated by Assure QuickEDD HA
  The 2 numbers above are displayed in red if there is a difference

• The number of objects with a replication error

W = WRKOBJ
List of the objects of the library

C = EDHCHKOBJ
Produces a spool named EDHCHKOB1 that contains the list of objects that are not managed by Assure QuickEDD HA
