If records are being copied to an existing physical file, the Replace or add records (MBROPT) parameter must specify *ADD or *REPLACE.

If the to-file does not exist and *YES is specified for the Create file (CRTFILE) parameter, the copy operation assumes a value of MBROPT(*ADD) for all records copied to the file after it is created, regardless of the value specified.
