In addition to the original message text, these Additional Information values are passed along with the message:

4 Job name (if any) which issued the message (up to 8 characters)
job_id Job ID (if any) which issued the message (up to 8 characters)
time Date when the message was issued in YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS±hh:mm format (where ±hh:mm is the GMT offset).
system_name System name where the message was generated (up to 8 characters)
msg_key Unique integer assigned to this message by z/OS
msg_token Integer assigned to this message by z/OS to mark it as part of a group of related messages

These variables can be used in the “Transform and Compose Alert Output” section of the Rules to modify the alert content text, as well as passed as arguments to remediation workflows where z/OS commands may be incorporated into scripts by using the ev390hostcmd utility program. See the details and syntax of the ev390hostcmd command in the section “Sending Commands to the Agent”.

Multi-line MVS messages will be reformatted before being presented to the Event Rules. If an MVS message ID is added to the mainframe message filter table with a preceding plus sign “+”, then each line of the multi-line output will be sent with the message ID prepended to the front of the secondary lines. If a message ID is added to the mainframe message filter table with a preceding minus sign “-”, then each line of the multi-line output will be sent without the original message ID prepended to the front of the secondary lines. If the message ID is listed in the filter table with neither the “+” nor the “-” sign, then all of the lines of the message will be concatenated together and displayed in the ServiceNow alert as one continuous line, and each line of the multi-line message will be separated by a new-line character (\n).
