Dispatch Manager is an optional VeriMove feature that allows you to perform unattended processing. Dispatch Manager works in the background as a Windows service, regularly scanning your system for a specified trigger file. When Dispatch Manager finds the file, Dispatch Manager launches VeriMove.

Note: Dispatch Manager cannot access mapped network drives. All files must be on local drives.

The following examples demonstrate how you could use Dispatch Manager to automatically launch VeriMove when external CASS processing completes.

Example

Suzanne works at ABC Travel. ABC Travel uses Precisely Finalist and VeriMove to process name and address records. Suzanne launches Finalist to perform CASS processing. Suzanne periodically checks the status of the job for completion. After Finalist processing is completed, Suzanne launches VeriMove. Suzanne uses the output from Finalist as the input to VeriMove.

Instead of performing these tasks manually, Suzanne could set up Dispatch Manager to look for the Output File from the Finalist CASS processing and, after finding that file, launch VeriMove processing.

Example

Elaine's Flowers uses Finalist, VeriMove, and Dispatch Manager to process name and address records. With Dispatch Manager running in the background, Elaine launches Finalist. When she returns, both Finalist and VeriMove have processed her Input File.
