VeriMove generates the following return codes when processing on Unix, Linux, z/OS, and IBM i.

| 0 | Successful completion. |
| 8 | Exception. An error has occurred during processing. On Unix or Linux, see the event log for the reason. On z/OS and IBM i, see PBLOG. |
| 12 | Command line or PARM value error. |
| 16 | Event log exception. Unable to open or write the event long. On z/OS and IBM i, the event log is PBLOG. |
| 20 | Unknown exception. An unexpected error has occurred. |
