Extended processing refers to a situation where a service provider takes longer than seven days to process a mailing list from a customer. According to USPS regulations, service providers must process a mailing list within seven days of receiving it from a customer. If this is not possible, the service provider must obtain written permission from the customer to take longer than seven days to process the list. To indicate that this written permission has been granted and the list was processed more than seven days after receiving it from the customer, you must enable the extended processing option by following these steps.

  1. In the VeriMove main window, double-click the job you want.
  2. On the General tab, in the Extended Processing area, check the Requested box.
  3. Click Enter Dates.
  4. In the Date Received field, enter the date that you received the mailing list from the customer.
  5. In the Date Returned field, enter the date that you returned the mailing list to the customer.
  6. Click OK.
