This example describes the process that occurred prior to the VeriMove 3.4.1 release for situations where your Street Address Line - Primary output field was not large enough to contain your output standardized address line.
- Your output standardized address line is 50 characters in length.
- Your Street Address Line - Primary output field is defined as 25 characters in length.
- In this situation, the first 25 characters of your output standardized address line are written to the Street Address Line - Primary output field. Previously, the remaining 25 characters of the standardized output address were truncated and lost as shown in the address line below:
Output Standardized Address Line | |
---|---|
1234 Martin Luther King Drive Apt 212 | |
Output Field | Contents |
Street Address Line - Primary | 1234 Martin Luther King D |
- Previously, VeriMove wrote the first 25 characters of your output standardized address line to the Street Address Line - Primary output field.
- The excess or "overflow" data was truncated and lost.
- No warning messages were written to the event log.
The following scenarios provide information on the new VeriMove 3.4.1 options available when the output standardized address line is longer than the Street Address Line - Primary field and that difference in field sizes results in truncation and the loss of critical secondary street information.
