You do not define and use the Forwarding Street Address Line - Secondary output field or the Forwarding Street Address Line - Secondary Overflow field in your Output definition. During processing, VeriMove writes the forwarding address line to the Forwarding Street Address Line output field.

The output for the address in our example displays as shown below when:

  • The forwarding address line is 50 characters in length and is larger than the Forwarding Street Address Line output field.
  • The Forwarding Street Address Line output field is defined as 25 characters in length.
  • You do not define the Forwarding Street Address Line - Secondary output field or the Forwarding Street Address Line - Secondary Overflow field in your Output file definition.

Output Field Contents
Forwarding Street Address Line 1234 Martin Luther King D
  1. VeriMove writes the first 25 characters of the forwarding address line to the 25-character Forwarding Street Address Line output field.
  2. The overflow data (the data beyond the 25-character limit for the output field) is truncated. The forwarding secondary information in the forwarding address line is truncated because the forwarding secondary information is part of the address data beyond the defined length of 25 characters for the output field.
  3. The entire forwarding address line is posted to the event log with a warning message on the truncation.
