This example describes the process that occurred in previous VeriMove releases in situations where your Forwarding Street Address Line output field was not large enough to contain your forwarding address line.
- Your forwarding address line is 50 characters in length.
- Your Forwarding Street Address Line output field is defined as 25 characters in length.
- In this situation, the first 25 characters of your forwarding address line are written to the Forwarding Street Address Line output field. Previously, the remaining 25 characters of the forwarding address line were truncated and lost as shown in the address line below:
Forwarding Address Line | |
---|---|
1234 Martin Luther King Drive Apt 212 | |
Output Field | Contents |
Forwarding Street Address Line | 1234 Martin Luther King D |
- Previously, VeriMove wrote the first 25 characters of your forwarding address line to the Forwarding Street Address Line output field.
- The excess or "overflow" data was truncated and lost.
- No warning messages were written to the event log.
The following scenarios provide information on the VeriMove options available when the forwarding address line is longer than the Forwarding Street Address Line and that difference in field sizes results in truncation and the loss of critical secondary street information.
