To use Master Batch, you must first set up the Tomcat web server. Increase the amount of memory allocated to Tomcat/Java, change the log on account and, optionally, set the service to start automatically.

To increase memory for Tomcat

  1. Open a command prompt and navigate to Tomcat’s bin directory (C:\Program Files\Trillium Software\MBSW\17\tsq\software\apache-tomcat-8.n.nn\bin by default).

  2. Enter the following command:

    tomcat8w //ES//service_name

    Example: tomcat8w //ES//Tomcat8

Answer ‘Yes’ to User Account Control. The Properties window displays.

  3. Click the Java tab and change the Initial and Maximum memory pool settings to allocate more memory to the process. The recommended minimum initial memory pool is 1280 MB and maximum memory pool is 2560 MB.
