The standard Trillium Quality for Dynamics configuration matches account, contact, and lead records based on:

  • Name and address

  • Name and telephone number

  • Name and e-mail address

You can modify the Trillium Quality for Dynamics web resource XML file to include up to five additional extension fields in the match criteria.

Adding fields to the match criteria broadens your ability to detect possible duplicate records in your database. For example, if you add a Customer ID field as a match criteria and two records share a name and Customer ID, they would be flagged as a potential match, regardless of whether their addresses, telephone numbers, or e-mail addresses match.

Match criteria always include name fields .  Additional fields are compared only for records in which name values are potential matches.

Matches are determined with an “OR” comparison. For example, if an employee ID and date of birth are added to the match criteria, a potential match is identified if a name and employee ID OR a name and date of birth match.

Empty fields (null values) are ignored during the match process.

When you add fields to the match criteria, each record is assigned an additional window key that includes the added match criteria.
