Three security roles are added to your Dynamics CRM environment by Trillium Quality for Dynamics installation:

  • TSS Duplicate Popup. This security role allows users who do not have administrative privileges to view the Duplicates window.

  • TSS Match Display. This security role allows users who do not have administrative privileges to view the TSS Match Display window.

  • TSS Merge. This security role allows users to combine duplicate records. Users without the TSS Merge role can view duplicate records but cannot merge them.

Once the TSS Merge security role is applied, users can merge contact, account and lead records to which they have access. Users cannot merge records to which they do not have access.

Note: Customer address and custom entity records cannot be merged.

To permit merging, users must also have the following security permissions assigned through other roles:

  • AppendActivity and WriteActivity

  • Append, AppendTo, Read, Share, and Write permissions for account, contact, and lead entities

To allow users to view the Duplicates window, view the TSS Match Display window or to merge records, you must add these security roles to individual users.

To add the TSS Duplicate Popup, TSS Match Display, and TSS Merge roles

  1. Select Settings > Security > Users.

  2. Select a user and select Manage Roles.

  3. Select TSS Duplicate Popup, TSS Match Display and/or TSS Merge and click OK. The TSS security role(s) are added to the selected users’ profiles.
