By default, Trillium Quality for Dynamics users match (and optionally merge) records on potential duplicate records found within the same entity. The Cross Match Mode option in the Deployment Manager enables or disables cross-entity matching. Cross-entity matching allows matching on records across contact and lead entity types. Users can optionally merge lead records into a contact record.

Cross Match Mode is disabled by default. When enabled, cross-entity matching and merging is available when users:

  • Add or edit a lead or contact record.

  • Match leads to contacts and contacts to leads using the standard batch match requests.

  • Merge matching records by running the Auto Merge Cross Match batch request.

Note the following guidelines:

  • To be cross-matched, contact entities must contain the same Trillium fields as the lead entities against which they are matched.

  • Fields in each entity must be configured for matching and merging.

  • Cross-entity matching uses all defined window keys.

To enable cross-entity matching and merging

  1. Open the Deployment Manager.

  2. Click the Utilities tab.

  3. Click Edit Configuration. If prompted, click Save. The Edit Configuration window opens.
