To test changes made to the web resource XML file, you can deactivate and reactivate the affected SDK message processing steps. Your changes to the web resource XML file will take effect immediately.

An alternative to manually refreshing each step, you can force an immediate refresh through the Deployment Manager, as described in Refreshing through the Deployment Manager.

To deactivate/activate steps

  1. After changing and publishing the web resource XML file, select Settings > Customizations > Customize the System.

  2. Select Components > Sdk Message Processing Steps.

  3. Sort by Event Handler and scroll to the steps for the Trillium.Crm.Plugin event handler.

  4. Select the steps affected by your change:

    • For changes to account, contact, or lead entities, select the entity Create and Update steps.

    • For changes to Auto Merge, the Duplicates window, or the Match Display window, select the Command Create steps.

  5. Click Deactivate, and click Deactivate in the confirmation message. The steps are set to a disabled state.

  6. Select the steps again and click Activate, and click Activate in the confirmation message. The steps are enabled.

The changes made to the web resource XML file are then available for testing.
