You can monitor the activity of active (running) servers by using Watch mode. Watch mode allows you to view the number of successful and failed requests, the number of releases, and the available pool.

While in Watch mode, most Director System Manager functionality is disabled so as not to impact statistics of the system(s) being monitored. The tool has a built-in latency and should not be used for benchmarks.

To watch a server

  1. On the Realtime View tab, right-click a Director, cleanser, or matcher server and select Watch. You are prompted for a refresh interval.
  2. Select a refresh interval in the range of 500 to 60,000 milliseconds and click Start. The Director System Manager window displays activity statistics for the watched server, and displays a red STOP icon.
  3. To end the watch, click STOP.
