Stopping a Director or Server - trillium_quality - Latest

You can stop a Director or server from either tab of the Director System Manager. When you stop a Director, all servers using that Director are automatically stopped. Allow approximately 30 seconds for the Director and its servers to stop.

To stop a Director or server

1. In the Director System Manager, right-click the Director or server to be stopped and select Stop.
   Note: Use caution when stopping a service, as this will impact any clients using that service. When you stop a Director, all servers using that Director are automatically stopped.
2. If stopping from the Realtime View tab, a message displays asking you to confirm that you want to stop the Director or server. Click Yes.
3. A message displays informing you that the stop message has been sent. Click OK to dismiss the message.
4. Click Refresh to update the list in the Director System Manager. Stopped Directors remain listed in the Realtime View tab, but display a warning icon with an associated error indicating that the target machine actively refused the connection.
