The Matching Rule Analyzer (MRA) tests your project’s reference matching and relationship linking (window matching) rules. By performing a match and reviewing the results you can determine whether your matching rules are properly configured.

You establish matching rules when setting up your Reference Matcher or Relationship Linker process in the Control Center. Your matching rules determine which attributes will be used for matching (company name, personal name, address, and so on), which comparison routines will be used, and what grades are set for each routine. Those grades are combined to construct matching patterns. Based on the matching pattern returned by the routines, the result of the comparison is considered PASS (matched), SUSPECT (potential match), or FAIL (unmatched).

Refer to the Control Center’s online help for a detailed description of setting up matching rules.

Testing reference matching rules is described beginning of Testing Reference Matching Rules; testing window matching rules is described beginning of Testing Window Matching Rules.

Note: The Director and matcher server must be running to perform a test.
