To test your window matching rules, you must identify the file that contains your sample data. This file can be in XML, Quality Fixed File, or Delimited format. (Alternatively, you can use the output of a cleansing process as your input data, as described in Loading Cleansed Data.)

Note: You can use the sample input file Matcher_Window_xml.inp to become familiar with testing matching rules. The sample files are described in Using the Sample Files.

To load an input file

  1. In the Input Data Selection pane of the MRA window, click Load Input Data. The Load Matching Input File window opens.

  2. In Select Input File Type, select the file type of your input file - MRA XML File, Quality Fixed File, or Delimited File. If you are using the sample file Matcher_Window_xml.inp, select MRA XML File.

  3. Browse to select your input file and enter the information required for your file type. The input windows are illustrated in the below figure.

If the schema used in the input file does not match the matching schema, you must create a map file to correlate the fields, as described in Mapping Fields.
