If you do not have a reference file against which to test your matching rules, you can create a reference file using the MRA window.

To create a reference file using the MRA

  1. In the References pane of the MRA window, click New. The field names that will be used to test matching rules display in the References pane.

  2. In the Input Data pane of the MRA window, expand the Field Name column to view the full field names.

  3. Enter values for some or all fields. Be sure to enter data for fields that are required for matching. Required fields vary depending on your project’s matching rules.

  4. Click Add to References.  The record is added to the reference pane.

  5. Continue entering input data and adding it to the reference file.

  6. To save the reference file for future use, click Save. The file is saved as an XML file with Record as the XML tag representing a record.
